Corrochip system has been included by RDC (Research & Development Concretes) in its design of the farming rafts built within the framework of the SELMUS project.

Trials in farming rafts carried out with new materials such as high performance concrete (UHPFRC) are important to validate their suitability and applicability in marine environments. In this type of environment, with a high salt concentration, the phenomenon of corrosion in reinforcement is a common problem when using conventional concretes. Monitoring with the sensors in this structure is making it possible to verify that there are no active corrosion processes. The implementation of a continuous and remote monitoring in offshore infrastructures of this type, provide a high added value thanks to Corrochip.
